At Churchfield Primary School we value the whole child, and believe that our curriculum should be engaging, broad and prepare our children for life in an ever-changing world.
We have developed a bespoke curriculum that engages our pupils, challenges their thinking and provides them with the opportunities to be creative. It allows children the opportunity to work in depth, promoting debate, reflection and providing opportunities for transferable skills. We are passionate that the curriculum must not be confined to the classroom, and provides pupils with the opportunity to grow, achieve and shine in their own unique way.
We follow the National Curriculum and Early Years Statutory Framework, and the systematic synthetic phonics scheme that we follow is Letters and Sounds – all of which are available below.
If you would like any more information on any aspect of our curriculum, please contact us.
We firmly believe that a broad and balanced curriculum is paramount. We work to develop the whole child, and ensure that every child finds their way to shine. Below you will find a range of general information about our curriculum. Please refer to each subject’s specific page for additional information.
Please keep in mind that post-COVID we are reviewing all our curriculum documents in preparation for September.
