Pupil Leadership is a key component of our Personal Development offer.
Children are at the centre of everything we do, and are an essential part of leadership. As well as our School Council and Eco-Council, we also have a number of other pupil leadership opportunities accross school and are always looking for new ways for our children to get involved, and develop their leadership skills.
Junior Journalists
Starting summer 2024, our junior journalists will work to create the ‘Churchfield Chronicle’ – our very own newspaper, that will even be printed by a real newspaper!
Bistro Buddies
Our Bistro Buddies support in the dinner hall, and help out lunchtime team set up and manage lunches. They even get their own special aprons!
Wellbeing Ambassadors
Our Wellbeing team works with Mrs Foster to develop wellbeing in school, and to think of ways to support everyone in school!
Sports Leaders
Our Sports Leaders help manage and organise large sporting events with other schools, and run games at playtime for all of our children.
Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
Out Anti-Bullying Ambassadors work with Mrs Hughes to support children across school and make sure bullying is not tolerated. They’ve even completed the Diana Award!
Reading Ambassadors
The reading Ambassadors with with Mrs Kilner and help keep our library looking fantastic, promote a love of reading across school and even read to younger children!
Other Roles
As well as our established roles, a number of children also take part in ad-hoc leadership roles such as tour guides and working with the community.
Community Champions
We want all of our children to be community champions, and we regularly organise events such as local litter picks and volunteer events.
Subject Champions
Over the Summer 2024 term we’ll be developing Subject Champions in school – these will be leadership roles for children who are really passionate about a subject!
